WHAT IS CUSN?
The Canadian University Sports Network, or CUSN, is an independent outlet whose aim is to share what we believe is Canadian athletics’ best kept secret: university sport.
WHO ARE WE?
CUSN is a team of Canadian student-journalists, with a combined 75+ years of experience covering Canadian university sports, with expertise in a variety of areas.
WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
Our primary focus is to spread awareness about the incredible athletes and programs that make up Canadian university sports as well as offer a platform for student-journalists and student-broadcasters to showcase their work. We hope by producing content surrounding them, we will be able to build and improve upon its following, and help shepherd university athletics into the mainstream Canadian media.
HOW DO WE PLAN TO ACHIEVE THIS?
In order to achieve our goal, we have to produce content to tell those stories. Our readers can expect weekly columns, news, athlete and staff profiles, and more. We also want to help provide a platform for student-athletes to share their experience, to gain a better insight into their lives, and their decisions to become a Canadian university athlete. As well as our written content, there will be a significant amount of multimedia content to watch and share, including update videos, photo essays, graphics, podcasts, and more.
